Culinary night ride on the historic Ritten Railway This event is a unique evening gourmet journey on the historic railcar of the Ritten Railway in South Tyrol (Italy).
It combines fine dining, local wines, music and a scenic train ride under the stars.
During the evening, the train stops at four different stations. At each stop, a different local restaurateur from the Ritten serves one course of a five-course menu. Each dish is paired with selected regional wines and gourmet mountain apple juices. A live music ensemble accompanies guests during the train ride and while dining at the stops.
Dates 2026: Wednesday, 10 & 17 June 2026 and Wednesday, 1 & 8 July 2026
Ritten Railway Day Visit to the depot in Klobenstein with workshop manager Martin Broy and railway expert Klaus Demar.
Transfer by the modern train “Trogener” (scheduled service) to Oberbozen for a guided tour of the depot at Oberbozen station.
This is followed by a special trip on the historic railcar from Oberbozen to Maria Himmelfahrt.
Dates 2026: Friday, 5 June 2026 and Friday, 18 September 2026
Meeting point: Klobenstein railway station at 10:00 a.m.
Price for the special trip: €10.00 adults / €5.00 children aged 6–14
Guided Hike along the Old Cog Railway Route With railway expert and cultural guide Klaus Demar.
The tour leads from Bolzano via Santa Maddalena along the historic route of the Ritten Railway to Maria Himmelfahrt, and back to Oberbozen.
Dates 2026: Saturday, 6 June 2026 and Saturday, 19 September 2026
Meeting point: 9:00 a.m. at Klobenstein railway station / or 9:30 a.m. at Oberbozen railway station.
Price: €15.00. The hike is included in the
Südtirol Guest Pass RittenCard.
